AUDITED 2 Aug 2026 - PARENTS DETACHED AS IMPOSSIBLE; CORRECT PARENTS UNKNOWN. This person was recorded as the daughter of [3039] Robert Prewitt (b. 10 Jun 1758) and [3040] Martha 'Patsy' Chandler (b. 6 Mar 1762) while herself recorded b. 1725 - THIRTY-THREE AND THIRTY-SEVEN YEARS OLDER THAN HER OWN PARENTS. The link (ChildTable RecID 2367 to F731) has been deleted. It already carried ProofFather = ProofMother = 3 (disputed). ROBERT AND MARTHA ARE NOT THE ERROR AND HAVE NOT BEEN DELETED: Dillon, Pruitt-Prewitt Ancestors (1960), free full text on archive.org, reproduces this tree's dates for them verbatim (b. 10 Jun 1758 Halifax Co., Va., d. 14 Apr 1819 Fayette Co., Ky.; m. 23 May 1782; Martha b. 1762 d. 1833). They are correctly recorded and were wrongly attached. HOW IT HAPPENED: Dillon documents a genuine Mary Hamblen Prewitt who married a John Cavens - but in Fayette County, KENTUCKY about 1820, and she is Robert and Martha's GRANDDAUGHTER, some 75 years and 500 miles from this Loudoun County woman. Controlled zero: 'Loudoun' returns 0 hits in Dillon against 972 for 'Prewitt'. Name-matching inside a corpus where the name is common. DO NOT RE-ATTACH HER TO HENRY HAMBLEN PREWITT - that is the wrong Mary. Her maiden name may not even be Prewitt: the upstream sheet gives her only as a married name. The honest state is that the old attachment is impossible AND the correct parents are unknown. ALSO WRONG AND LEFT FOR A SEPARATE DECISION: her birthPLACE field contains the research NOTE 'Family From Fauquier Va.', which is not a place; and Fauquier County was not formed until 1 May 1759, so it cannot be a 1725 birthplace in any case. See ancestry/carpenter-cavins-prewitt-2026-08-02.md and db-write-queue.md.AUDITED 3 Aug 2026 - BIRTHPLACE FIELD CLEARED (queue item D4). Her birth event (E7526) carried the place string "Family From Fauquier Va." - a research note sitting in a place field, not a place. Fauquier Co. was not formed until 1 May 1759 and could not be a 1725 birthplace in any case. Place cleared to blank; the string is preserved here and only here.
