Both carried the IDENTICAL death: 23 Jan 1797, Vershire, Orange Co., Vermont - the documented Rev. Thomas West of Vershire - so they are one man. PRESERVED, not adjudicated: the deleted copy's DAY-EXACT birth 6 Aug 1740 stands as a live competing claim against this record's 1732 (both uncited); a Kingston or South Kingstown register would decide it.
