AUDITED 16 Aug 2026 - MOTHER SET PROVEN DESPITE HER OWN ENTRY NAMING "MARGARET FARBROTHER". RC baptism, Esh Laude St Michael's: 12 May 1833 Frances Johnson of Hill Top, born 5 May 1833, daughter of George Johnson and Margaret Farbrother (DRO 412606). The mother's forename in her own entry is the ONE outlier in five. Her siblings' entries read Mary (1831), Mary (1835), Mary (1837) and Mary Ann (1839), all Fairbrother, all Esh Laude, four of them at Hill Top - so the 1833 Margaret is bracketed on both sides and a two-wives reading would need the sequence Mary-Margaret-Mary-Mary Ann inside eight years within one surname. A mechanism once offered here (a twelve-month-late 1835 baptism) is WITHDRAWN 13 Oct 2026: the register image, RG 4/2281 p.15, shows Margaret born 17 July and baptised 19 July 1835, two days apart (K1031). The 1833 Margarita stays a slip on the four-of-five count alone. OWEN'S CALL, 16 Aug 2026: ProofMother set to 1 on that reasoning. The recommendation on the day was 0, precisely because her own document disagrees. The register says Margaret and that stands recorded here regardless of the flag.
