RC baptism, Esh Laude St Michael's: 19 Jul 1835 Margaret Johnson of Hill Top, born 17 Jul 1834, daughter of George Johnson and Mary Fairbrother (DRO 423665). THE ANOMALY: baptism follows birth by about TWELVE MONTHS, where this family's other four baptisms run 2-8 days (John 2, Frances 7, Dorothy 8, Catherine 6). If the birth year were 1835 the interval would be 2 days, exactly her brother John's. Two readings and neither is established: a genuinely delayed baptism, or a year slip in the birth.
