AUDITED 13 Oct 2026 - BIRTH 17 JUL 1835, CORRECTED FROM 1834 ON THE REGISTER IMAGE. The 16 Aug note gave the birth as the Durham Records Online transcript has it (17 Jul 1834). It flagged the year as doubtful, because the baptism would then follow the birth by twelve months. The register itself is TNA RG 4/2281, page 15, read on the image. The entry gives the day only: born the 17th of July, baptised the 19th. It sits under the 1835 heading, between other 1835 entries. The register never wrote "1834"; the transcriber supplied that year. The interval is therefore 2 days, like her brothers' and sisters'. Mother: "Mary formerly Fairbrother". Of Hill Top. Godparents Christopher and Jane Hickson. She is not in her parents' household in the 1841 census, aged about 6. Her whereabouts then are unknown, and nothing has been read about her death.
