AUDITED 16 Oct 2026 - WILEY DOLLAHITE, also written Willie, Wilie, Will and Willis, born about 1798 in North Carolina, farmer and storekeeper. In 1820 he was in Humphreys County, Tennessee, as "Willis Dollehile", beside Cornelius Dollahite (census index only, K1056). By the 1840s he was in De Soto County, Mississippi. In 1850 he was in Harrison County, Texas (K1055): W. Dolahite, 52, farmer, real estate $1,500, born N.C., with S., 50, born Georgia, and five children. As "a Citizen of Rusk County" he was guardian of [6] Mary Ann's two Halliburton children in 1851-53 and surety for their stepfather R. B. Woodall (K1048-K1050). His son Jesse P. Dollahite's 1864 will names "my Father Wiley Dollahite" (K1052). A 1971 family history (K1051, compiled) gives him born 15 Jan 1798 in North Carolina, married to Sarah Perkins on 9 Mar 1819, married second to a Mrs. Elizabeth Calloway, and died 28 Jul 1871, buried at Harmony Hill; it lists fourteen children. Only [6] Mary Ann is attached in this tree, by ARGUMENT; see her note. His parents are not established; the family history names Cornelius Dollahite as his father, unproven.
