I was very sorry to hear of the passing of Michael Bardgett (known to his friends as Jett) last week. He was a light. This photo I took of him on the left here, with his business partner Claude (Spider) Webb on the right, is the last time I saw him, on a very good day after a show at the Gar Hole near Anna, Texas.
Jett and Spider helped me load out to my car, and before I drove away, I wanted a picture of them to remember the day. Sending love to those that knew him and will miss him.
I will plan on singing a few songs dedicated to his memory in about 5 weeks at the the venue near Anna, Texas that he co-founded. The community of folks he brought together goes on with gratitude for the gift of his life.
