Before our show on the outdoor stage under the oaks, I sat down by this old building. I remembered when I first heard an album that was recorded in this dancehall- a set of recordings that somehow opened up a new world of fun, friendship, and soulful conversations for me.
Grateful to all the musicians, songwriters, and dreamers who made that Viva Terlingua record — and to Luckenbach, for setting off that musical big bang that keeps rippling through me and so many other fellow travelers.
