Austin’s a great place to live, and this month, for the first time, I got to see the view from the top of the UT Tower. (I took our 8 year old son up on a Saturday evening).
Looking down, and being a perpetually self-absorbed ARTISTE, my thoughts drifted to… myself. And I saw where Adam Carroll and I will be playing our gig on Thursday night…. If you’re in town on Thursday you should come to the show at the The Cactus Cafe, the music venue and bar inside the Texas Union on campus…
It’s a legendary venue where I’ve seen some of the best shows of my life (no exaggeration). It’s where Butch Hancock (of the Flatlanders) gave me advice for writing my first few songs…
