A springtime Texas hill country edition of Backyard Biergarten with my co-host J.P. Rankin. J.P. is a cartoonist – known in publications as “The Cartoon Cowboy” – who makes his home between Comfort and Sisterdale.
JP’s got a saloon on his property (that he built himself from reclaimed wood) that houses his collection of drawings, artwork, and memorabilia.
We found a shady spot on the porch and a couple of Lone Stars, and I sang a couple of new songs. First up was “Made In the Shade,” a song I wrote with Jason Eady and Jamie Wilson, and then I played a song I wrote with Walt Wilkins called “Eyes Wide Open.”
Prost!
