What a beautiful gathering it was at Bryan TX Songwriter Festival. A pleasure and an inspiration. At this time in history, I believe the community builders are the true heroes. Kyle Hutton and his team are building community, and I loved being a part of it. They are actualizing and enacting the values in Kyle’s songs.
These old buildings have been bringing people together around art for a hundred years and it was great to see them filled. I caught sets by Kyle, Jamie Lin Wilson, Kelley Mickwee, Bruce Robison, Dub Miller, Sean McConnell, Ryan Beaver and Brock Dewald, and I heard Friday was epic too. If you weren’t there, put it on your calendar for this time next year. Onward.
