A Houston edition of Backyard Biergarten, co-hosted by Mike Kane, with gulf snapper on the grill and Karbach double IPA in hand. We toast grandparents for making it possible for us to be here, and then I sing a song I wrote with Kelley Mickwee called “Virginia and Hazel.” The song is a Prohibition era story, chock-full of 1920s slang, in which we imagine our grandmothers as teenagers on a fateful wild summer night.
After we shot the episode, Mike brought out – the most delicious six pack ever: Bishop’s Barrels 1 through 6. The Bishop’s Barrels are a series of releases of beers by Saint Arnold that have been barrel aged, and they are AMAZING.
