Bay Theatre, Seal Beach, California

A labor of love- you can spot it a mile away. Some you can spot 1400 miles away. On May 10, I’m playing a show at the Bay Theatre in Seal Beach, California- a venue that has just reopened its doors to its 1940s glory after a carefully researched 8-year restoration. Paul Dunlap, the leader of the beach town project, says “I like history and I like preserving old buildings. I think old buildings have a story to tell… And I think history binds us all together and so preserving that is important.” Amen, and that’s why I drew the building and why I’m going to be there in May. Here’s more on the restoration project and here’s a link to tickets for the May 10 show.

Other upcoming shows in buildings with stories to tell:

Apr 11 – Red Bird Listening Room, New Braunfels TX
May 27 – Saxon Pub, Austin TX
May 30 – Mucky Duck, Houston TX
