Congrats to my friends the Band of Heathens on their album release day of Top Hat Crown and the Clapmaster’s Son. They knocked it out of the park on this one. The record is a soulful journey and a trip – every second of it interesting – a real work of art.
And hats off to George Reiff on the production of the album- the sounds they recorded have me leaning closer to the speakers, trying to figure out how they caught that on tape.
Full disclosure: I had the honor of co-writing a couple of songs on the record, “Medicine Man” and “Gris Gris Satchel,” so I am not completely unbiased.
