Cooler Weather, and Watch It Shine

Cooler Weather is finally here. (The song, at least.) Time to get out the flannel shirts and cozy up with a good book. Maybe like this one, just out today. Is it songs illustrated or paintings rhymed? I don’t know. Either way, may you fall pleasantly into fall (officially).

Every single this year has had one of my watercolors on the cover, and Watch It Shine is the book they come from. Cooler Weather is on pages 22 and 23: the Neches River at Rocky Shoals Falls, in Angelina County.

Kelley Mickwee sings harmony on the recording. You can listen to Cooler Weather here. And in case you missed Sunday’s forecast:

Every copy of the book ordered direct comes signed, and carries a digital download of the new album, Closer, Says Love, delivered on its October 23 release. Also available at shows, and from Bookshop.org, Barnes & Noble, and Amazon.
