Ernest Hemingway House in Key West

“It’s clear that our lives are a distillation and expansion of the lives that have come before us,” – Owen Temple

My sketch/watercolor of Ernest Hemingway’s house in Key West. Before I ever wrote a song, his novels and short stories moved me to try to write something. When you read a story he wrote, afterward, you felt like you had the experience yourself.

Walt Wilkins and I recently wrote a song inspired by him, and I hope to be ready to play it for the first time at the Mucky Duck on August 22.
