PROOF CLASS: FATHER = DIRECT (Owen, 23 Sep 2026) - Thomas Burrus. His will, proved Orange Co., Va. 23 Mar 1789, says "my daughter Jane Quisenberry" (cit 7030, the 1897 transcript re-read 4 Aug 2026).
Audited 26 Jul 2026 - Junction #6: parentage PROVEN by Thomas Burrus will (probated Orange Co. 23 Mar 1789) naming my daughter Jane Quisenberry and my grand daughter Frances Quisenberry, the daughter of Jane Quisenberry. See ancestry/quisenberry-junction.md.
FATHER ENTERED 23 Sep 2026 (round-5 triage A1/A2, Owen), on the same will transcript the 26 Jul proof above rests on (cit 7030, 1897 Genealogical Memoranda pp. 190-191). He signs BURRUS; Burris and Burroughs are variants, and Jane Burrus is added as her alternate name. NO MOTHER IS ENTERED. The excerpt of the will held in cit 7030 names no wife. Frances (Tandy) Burrus is the compiled tradition, and even a wife named in the 1789 will would be his wife then, not proof that she bore Jane in 1759. Next document: the will itself, Orange Co., Va.
