Working notes from the research, kept verbatim — what was read, what it proved, what stays open. Many open with a line grading the parentage; what the grades mean.

Research note · 1 Oct 2026
AUDITED 1 Oct 2026 - MERGED: this family ([1655] x [1656], F519) held the eldest son twice, as this record and as a 'Sir Willem Sarsfield van Lucan' (b. 1655, d. 1708, both Ireland, uncited), deleted 1 Oct 2026 (round-9 triage, ruling C2, Owen); 'Willem' is kept here as an alternate name. Per the 1 Oct 2026 agent reports (agent-report-1655-patrick-sarsfield-2026-10-01.md, agent-report-1656-lady-anna-anne-o-moore-sarsfield-2026-10-01.md) the elder Patrick Sarsfield had one son William, who died in 1675, besides Patrick the Earl of Lucan; this record's 13 Apr 1675 death is kept. The Dutch style 'van Lucan' marks a Low Countries compiled import. His recorded birthplace, Neerwinden, is uncited and is the place his brother the Earl was killed in 1693 - treat it as an import error, not a fact. No record has been read for him.
