No gravestone photograph for this man has been seen — this cites the TRANSCRIPTION, which is convicted of a one-year error on Felix Pratt Cates's photographically-verified stone (K126c: stone 1905, list 1906). ⛔ WHAT THE DATE SETTLES AND WHAT IT DOES NOT: 21 Jan 1837 falls inside the 11 Mar 1834 Lauderdale Co., Alabama marriage of his parents [1818] x [1163] (F421), so no prior wife is needed to explain a Mississippi-born son, and none is buried at Mount Holly per the same transcription. "No prior wife found" is not "no prior wife" — the motive for positing one is gone, the possibility is not disproved.
