AUDITED 3 Aug 2026 — BIRTH '1653 TIVERTON' AND DEATH 'ABT 3 APR 1732 MANTUA' DELETED AS UNSUPPORTED; DATES NOW DELIBERATELY EMPTY. (1) '1653' attaches to NO Baylor in any source checked: VMHB VI (1898) pp. 197-198 gives the immigrant's brother Robert NO birth year, and all nine '1653' hits in that volume are non-Baylor (controlled, re-verified 3 Aug 2026). 'Tiverton' traces to George Baylor, Bull Run to Bull Run (1900) p. 395, a printed one-man fusion of the two John Baylors. (2) 'Mantua': zero Baylor lines inside Bagby (1908)'s Mantua section (controls Mantua x13, Baylor x43); Mantua was a Hill then Braxton seat. (3) The record-attested Col. Robert Baylor of King & Queen is deed-anchored in Spotsylvania 1727-1731 (Crozier) and VMHB 25 (1917) pp. 316-321 makes him — TENTATIVELY, 'absolute proof of this Robert's descent is lacking' — a son of John Baylor 3d x Lucy Todd (m. 1698); the rival 'uncle Robert' tradition is recorded there and not credited. (4) THE FUSION IS IN PRINT: Baylor's History of the Baylors (1914) marries 'Robert Baylor (I)' to Hannah Gregory and makes Dr. Robert (II, 'born at Walkerton… about 1712', m. Mollie Brooke, daughter Frances m. Edward Hill) his son, deleting the record-attested Col. Robert entirely — this tree's dates came from that welding. (5) The parent link to F682 (John I Baylor x Anne Merrifield) is LEFT ATTACHED but DISPUTED — restructuring the Baylor upper tier needs its own decision.
