McGonigel’s Mucky Duck on August 22

“It’s clear that our lives are a distillation and expansion of the lives that have come before us,” – Owen Temple

The word “pub” is short for “public house” and the Mucky Duck takes that role seriously in the community of Houston. Here’s a shot from the last time we played Mucky Duck, and in two weeks – on the 22nd – we will be back. There’s so much to love about the place, including how they continued operating even in the immediate aftermath of Hurricane Beryl – thanks to generosity, perseverance, and a lucky break with power. Hours after the storm, they were cooking, serving, and welcoming folks without power to come down and charge up devices. I get it- I feel recharged after every time I’m there too.
