The folks at AmericanaUK asked if I’d record a “mini-gig” from my living room. No lights, no stage—just me, a guitar, and a quiet house. I played three songs that have been close to my heart lately:
- Looking for Signs – a search for patterns and meaning, even when the answers aren’t obvious.
- Turquoise Blue – a song about the pull of the ocean, the kind of place that calls you back again and again.
- Rings on a Tree – the title track from my latest album, tracing the lines of family history and the legacies we carry.
The living room setting made it feel more like playing for friends than putting on a show, which is probably the way I like it best.
AmericanaUK has been a great supporter of songwriters and storytellers, and I’m glad to share this session they hosted. You can watch the video below or visit their post here.
Thanks to AmericanaUK for the invitation—and to you for listening from wherever you are. I hope you enjoy.
