West Texas Wildfire Relief Through Music

In the past 2 weeks, wildfires have scorched over 300,000 acres in West Texas. More than 60 homes have burned, as have animals, fences, and agricultural property. Firefighters have lost their lives battling the blazes.

Wildfire conditions are made worse by high winds and the extreme statewide drought, and right now, the extended weather outlook doesn’t show enough rain to remedy the situation.

West Texas gave me the stories and inspiration behind the songs on my new album, and with your help, through music, we can help give back a little to those who lost homes and property.

For the next 30 days, for every purchase of Mountain Home through my website, we will give 100% of the profits to the Jeff Davis County Relief Fund and to the State of Texas Agriculture Relief Fund.  Give directly, or give through us, but please consider giving to those who have lost their homes and their livelihoods.

Donate to Jeff Davis County Relief Fund (helps the families and victims of the National Emergency Rockhouse Fire in Fort Davis)

Donate to the State of Texas Agriculture Relief Fund (helps ranchers rebuild fences and restore operations)

Donate through a purchase of Mountain Home ($5 from each CD, $5 from each vinyl LP, and $7 from each album download will be donated and split between the 2 relief funds)

Here’s a song, “One Day Closer to Rain” that I wrote as a kind of a prayer during our last drought, and we’ve posted a free download of it below.
