A Short Film on the Prehistoric Art in the Cave of Lascaux

“It’s clear that our lives are a distillation and expansion of the lives that have come before us,” – Owen Temple

My buddy Joshua Dodds – a songwriter, scholar of prehistory, and now filmmaker – has written and directed a short film about the Cave of Lascaux and the magnificent cave paintings discovered there. He has walked the caves himself, guiding trips for others. Now with this film- that unfolds like a film noir detective story- he reveals the sophistication, coordination, and daring that our ancestors needed to make this art. “Lascaux in New Light” is on his Ancient Lifeways channel, and I’ll post a link below. Congrats Josh and thanks for making this for the world.
