SEPULTURE, verbatim: "Le quinze juin mil sept cent quatre vingt huit, a ete inhumee dans le cimetiere de cette paroisse, le corps de dame Marguerite Genevieve Lefebvre, native de la paroisse de St Thomas d'Aquin, agee de soixante ans, habitante au fond, paroisse des Cayes, veuve de feu M[essir]e Etienne Boyer de la Gautraye, vivant capitaine de grenadiers, decedee la nuit precedente sur son habitation. En foi de quoi nous avons signe." Margin: "S. / Marg.te Genevieve Lefebure, v.e Boyer de la Gautraye". Signatories include GENTILOT, Lefebvre Vignon, Lefebvre Duplessis, Bruhier de Warville[?], Hourdet[?], and Sauvage, cure. ESTABLISHES: died the night of 14/15 June 1788 on her own habitation, buried the 15th; aged 60, so b. ca 1727/28; native of the parish of St Thomas d'Aquin; resident at Cayes-du-Fond; widow of Etienne Boyer de la Gautraye, in his lifetime captain of grenadiers. FOUND VIA the register's own table of acts at vue 1, which is TYPED: the line reads "Lefevre, V.e Boyer. marg.te genevieve ... S.. 19" (S = sepulture). NOTE: the trailing 19 is NOT a folio -- the register body carries no foliation -- and is most likely the 19th sepulture of the year. Unverified; do not cite it as a folio.
