En foi de quoi nous avons signe." Margin: "S. / Marg.te Genevieve Lefebure, v.e Boyer de la Gautraye". Signatories include GENTILOT, Lefebvre Vignon, Lefebvre Duplessis, Bruhier de Warville[?], Hourdet[?], and Sauvage, cure. ESTABLISHES: died the night of 14/15 June 1788 on her own habitation, buried the 15th; aged 60, so b. ca 1727/28; native of the parish of St Thomas d'Aquin; resident at Cayes-du-Fond; widow of Etienne Boyer de la Gautraye, in his lifetime captain of grenadiers. FOUND VIA the register's own table of acts at vue 1, which is TYPED: the line reads "Lefevre, V.e Boyer. marg.te genevieve ... S.. 19" (S = sepulture). NOTE: the trailing 19 is NOT a folio -- the register body carries no foliation -- and is most likely the 19th sepulture of the year. Unverified; do not cite it as a folio. PROOF CLASS: FATHER = DIRECT (13 Sep 2026, K681, Owen's grade; flag 1 unchanged). His Torbeck baptismal act of 4 Aug 1720, read on the image (J4): 'etienne fils du legitime mariage de M. Gabriel Sebastien Boyer De la gautraye ecuyer'. PROOF CLASS: MOTHER = DIRECT (13 Sep 2026, K681, Owen's grade; flag 1 unchanged). The same Torbeck act of 4 Aug 1720 continues '& de dame perinne Cerceuil'. Cerceuil is that act's spelling of the name this tree records as Sirceuil. AUDITED 13 Sep 2026 (K681) - FIRST AUDIT ON THIS PERSON. Written by the /ancestry review relabel lane; this person carried flag 1 on both halves and NO Audited note at all, so the class could not be read off the database and relabel-worklist.py said so. Verbatim: 'Ce quatre aoust etienne fils du legitime mariage de M. Gabriel Sebastien Boyer De la gautraye ecuyer ... & de dame perinne Cerceuil, ne le sept mars de cette meme annee'. It names BOTH parents and the child in one act. IDENTITY: this is his own baptismal act. The birth this tree records for him - 7 Mar 1720, Torbeck - is taken from this act and from no other source. The same man is re-identified in the same parish cluster sixty-eight years later by his widow's burial at Les Cayes, 15 June 1788 (cit 6991), which calls her 'veuve de feu M[essir]e Etienne Boyer de la Gautraye, vivant capitaine de grenadiers'. The mother is independently attested by her own burial at Les Cayes in 1754 (cit 7012), 'native de la ville et eveche d'Angers, agee d'environ soixante trois ans'. LIMIT, stated by the citation itself: the act is a FAIR COPY, not the original register act. That is the ordinary condition of the ANOM colonial series and it does not reach the relationship, which the act states in terms. SPELLING: 'Cerceuil' in the act, 'Sirceuil' in this tree, 'Gauderay' on the parents' rows against 'Gautraye' in the act. Recorded, not normalised.
