THIS RECORD IS NOW THE BOYER WIFE ONLY. Per GHC 2013 art.23 (B. and P. Rossignol, "LEFEBVRE de LA PAQUERIE (Saint-Domingue, Bretagne, Provence)", Genealogie et Histoire de la Caraibe; local copy ancestry/sources/ghc-2013-art23-lefebvre-de-la-paquerie.pdf) she is child #8 of Jean Baptiste Lefebvre Deshayes and Renee Rose Le Pays: "Marguerite LEFEBVRE, habitante du Fond de l'Isle a Vache; o /1740 (majeure en 1765); + 1765/1789; x /1749 Etienne BOYER de la GAUTRAYE, capitaine des grenadiers, habitant du Fond de l'Isle a Vache; + 1756/1765". The Gentillot marriage formerly carried on this record belongs to her YOUNGER SISTER - GHC child #9, distinguished from her as "mineure en 1765" against her own "majeure en 1765" in the 1765 succession inventory - who now sits on a separate record, [3328] Marguerite Genevieve Lefebvre des Hayes. DO NOT RE-MERGE THESE TWO. This reverses the old Tier 1 instruction "merge Marguerite Genevieve duplicate". The split is proven by the 4 May 1791 Cayes du Fond marriage act of the sister's daughter (ANOM, view 16 of 45), whose consanguinity dispensation is 2nd-to-3rd degree collateral - first cousins once removed - which only fits two sisters; the merged one-woman reading would have required 1st-to-2nd. Independently corroborated 27 Jul 2026 by the 1825 French indemnity register for the former colonists of Saint-Domingue, whose claim files show DISJOINT heir sets - titre 50438 on one side, titres 52685 and 52720 on the other. That indemnity evidence is agent-reported from the free CNRS "Repairs" Base 1825 and domingino.de and has NOT been confirmed by a second reader; working file ancestry/agent-report-saint-domingue-2026-07-27.md. WHAT IS KEPT AND WHAT IS PROVISIONAL ON THIS RECORD: the marriage to Etienne Boyer de la Gautraye and the Boyer children are hers, and Marie Louise Boyer b. 31 Mar 1751 Les Cayes fits this couple; the birth "ca 1728, Aquin" is retained but it is NOT known whether it is documented or estimated; and the death 14 Jun 1788 Les Cayes du Fond is PROVISIONAL - it cannot belong to the Gentillot sister, who was alive in May 1791, and it presumably belongs to this Boyer widow, but the 14 Jun 1788 burial act in the ANOM Les Cayes 1788 register has NOT been read, and that act is what would confirm it names the widow Boyer. ANOM, etat civil Saint-Domingue, LES CAYES 1788 (collection 1DPPC5342), vue 27/47, read on the page image: "Le quinze juin mil sept cent quatre vingt huit, a ete inhumee dans le cimetiere de cette paroisse, le corps de dame MARGUERITE GENEVIEVE LEFEBVRE, native de la paroisse de St Thomas d'Aquin, agee de soixante ans, habitante au fond, paroisse des Cayes, VEUVE DE FEU M[essir]e ETIENNE BOYER DE LA GAUTRAYE, vivant capitaine de grenadiers, decedee la nuit precedente sur son habitation." (1) The death is no longer provisional: the act names the widow BOYER, so it is this woman and not the Gentillot sister. Buried the 15th, DIED THE NIGHT PRECEDING — the night of 14/15 June 1788; the tree's 14 Jun 1788 stands. (2) The birth estimate is now DOCUMENTED on both counts: agee de soixante ans gives b. ca 1727/28, and native de la paroisse de St Thomas d'Aquin gives Aquin. (3) Her husband's rank is HIS, not his father's: vivant capitaine de grenadiers. (4) NAME: the act calls her MARGUERITE GENEVIEVE. Added here as an ALTERNATE name, NOT as a rename, because her sister [3328] is already primary-named Marguerite Genevieve Lefebvre des Hayes and they share parents (F523) — identical primaries would rebuild the merge. (5) THE DISCRIMINATOR, and it is the thing that prevents a re-merge: THESE TWO SISTERS ARE SEPARABLE ONLY BY HUSBAND — this one married BOYER DE LA GAUTRAYE, [3328] married GENTILLOT. The act shows why they were confused: GENTILOT signs it, alongside Lefebvre Vignon and Lefebvre Duplessis — one family, one parish, one circle. In the 10 Feb 1770 Gentillot baptism (J15) the GENTILLOT wife is written 'dame Michelle Genevieve le febvre' while THIS woman, the godmother, is 'Marguerite Genevieve Le febvre v.e de la Gautraye'; same split in the 15 Sep 1772 act (J16, 'Genevieve Michel le febvre') and the 30 Apr 1768 Torbeck act (agent-read, 'demoiselle Michel Genevieve Lefebure', then unmarried). With the 1751 baptism (J8, 'Margueritte Genevieve Lefevre' as Etienne Boyer's wife), the 1769 Plunkett baptism (J14, 'sa grande mere') and the 1788 burial (C6991), the compound MARGUERITE GENEVIEVE consistently denotes THIS sister, the Boyer widow, in primary records. THE DISCRIMINATOR REMAINS THE HUSBAND (Boyer vs Gentillot): never merge these two women on given names.
