"Le seize fevrier mil sept cent soixante quinze, j'ai baptise Jeanne Justine emilie, NEE LE DIX NEUF DE L'ANNEE DERNIERE, fille legitime de M Jean Joseph bourdet, hab.t de cette paroisse, Cap.ne des milices en cette paroisse, & de dame marie eutrope de Lagautraye; Le parain a ete M Juste Daniel marraud des Cortieres, hab.t de cette paroisse, ancien Cap.ne des milices, & la maraine demoiselle RENEE EMILIENNE de Lagautraye, TANTE MATERNELLE de l'enfant." TWO CORRECTIONS to the 4 Aug 2026 agent draft of this act, both verified letter by letter at zoom on the image: (1) the act gives NO MONTH for the birth - it reads 'nee le dix neuf de l'annee derniere' - so the honest fact is the 19th of an unstated month, 1774; the agent's bracketed guess of December has no warrant in the act. Control: the baptism three folios earlier in this same register and hand writes its month explicitly ('ne le dix huit 7bre de l'annee derniere'), so the omission here is the scribe's, not a limit of the reading. (2) the godmother is RENEE EMILIENNE, not 'Renee Emilie' - and [2974] Renee Emilienne Boyer de la Gauderay was already in this database as a daughter of F511, i.e. already [1595]'s sister. The agent's 'previously unnamed Boyer daughter' was an artefact of that misreading; the correct reading matches the tree exactly.
