PROOF CLASS: BOTH PARENTS = ARGUMENT (Owen, 24 Sep 2026) - Jean Le Pays and Renee Rose Rossignol; four acts read on the image, J9-J12. AUDITED 4 Aug 2026 - BIRTH CORRECTED 15 Oct 1705 -> abt 5 Oct 1705. Her baptism act (ANOM, Saint-Louis-du-Sud, 20 Oct 1705, fair copy) reads 'agee aux environs de 15e iours' - about 15 DAYS old - verified on a x2 zoomed crop of the image (register J11). The old field value 15 Oct 1705 is most plausibly a historic misreading of '15 jours' as '15 octobre'. The act also names both parents: 'fille legitime de Mons.r Jean Le pays et de Renee Rose Rosiniot'. Her burial (Torbeck 6 Mar 1760, J9): 'decedee hier a dix heures du matin, agee de cinquante trois ans' - died 5 Mar 1760, buried in the church. 24 Sep 2026 - THE ALTERNATE SURNAME 'Le Pays du Plessis-Villeneuve' (kept 25 Jul 2026) is a real seigneurial designation but is UNPROVEN for this family; the round-6 dossiers on [3324] and [3325] trace it to a Normandy house (Potier de Courcy). It stays as an alternate name only and asserts no parentage (round-6 triage A3, Owen). 24 Sep 2026 - PROOF SUMMARY FOR HER PARENTS (graded ARGUMENT by Owen). (1) Her baptism, Saint-Louis-du-Sud, 20 Oct 1705 (J11, cit 7015): 'fille legitime de Mons.r Jean Le pays et de Renee Rose Rosiniot', about 15 days old. That names the parents of a baby; the question is whether the baby is this woman. (2) No second Renee Rose could come from that couple. The mother's burial is the act directly above the baptism on the same page, Oct 1705: 'le corps de Renee Rose [Rossignol] femme de Monsieur Le pays' (J12, cit 7017). The father was buried 14 Jul 1707 as 'veuf de Rene Rose Rosiniot' (J10, cit 7016). (3) Her burial, Torbeck, 6 Mar 1760 (J9, cit 7014), names her as wife of J.B. Lefebvre, inhabitant of Aquin, aged 53. Saint-Louis-du-Sud, Aquin and Torbeck are neighbouring parishes of the south coast, and her first child in this tree, [1684], was born in 1723, when she was about 17. CONFLICT, NAMED: a baby of Oct 1705 was 54, not 53, in March 1760. A one-year error in an age at burial is ordinary and is accepted here, not smoothed. WHAT IT DOES NOT PROVE: nothing rules out a second Renee Rose Le Pays of another family on the same coast; none has been seen. WHAT WOULD SETTLE IT OUTRIGHT: her marriage act with J.B. Lefebvre, which should name her parents - about 1718 per this tree's marriage fact (from GHC 2013 art. 23, itself uncited; this sentence first said 1720-22 in error), at Aquin or Saint-Louis-du-Sud.
