Court session Monday 13 Oct 1845, Paducah, read on the manuscript at zoom 17 Aug 2026: 'Philip Maurous adm'r of Jas. O'Bannon dec'd plff / agt R. R. Lovelace deft -- Appeal. This day came the parties by their attorneys and the original papers in this cause having been returned, the rule against the Justice and continuance of the cause are ordered to be set aside -- And having heard the evidence adduced -- It is considered by the court that the plaintiff recover against the defendant ... with interest thereon ... from the 28th day of March 1841 until paid, and also his costs about his suit in this behalf expended.' Establishes: James O'Bannon was DEAD by 13 Oct 1845, and Philip Maurous held the administration of his estate. AUDITED 17 Aug 2026 - DEATH WINDOW ON RECORD: alive 18 May 1841 (deed with wife Maria L., Deed Books, ark 3:1:3Q9M-C33S-BTKB), DEAD BY 13 OCT 1845 ('Philip Maurous adm'r of Jas. O'Bannon dec'd', county court order, DGS 008114424 img 79). The stored death date Jun 1844 sits inside this window but is UNSOURCED.The 15 May 1855 court order (order book p. 562) styles his daughter 'Fanny M. O'Bannon, infant orphan of James O'Bannon deceased' - the paternity record for [834]. His estate was administered by Philip Maurous, in whose household Fanny appears in the 1850 census (p. 136A). Presence in county life 1835-1841: the 1825-1842 order book's index (DGS 008114423) lists Bannon Jas at pp. 193, 196, 240, 276 (and a Jno Bannon at 208, 235 - possibly kin to the John D.
