PROOF CLASS: BOTH PARENTS = UNDERDETERMINED (Owen, 11 Sep 2026) - [1628]'s 1851 will (cit 7096) names a ward and a namesake but no daughter Maria; [1629] has no citation. Upgrades on the 1853 Maurous settlement, DGS 008114424 img 258, p. 420.
AUDITED 11 Sep 2026 - her first. REVIEWED AND NOT GRADED: BOTH PARENTS stay 0/0 and work is STILL OWED. Not a decline. Labelled by Owen on the ring-6 E2 card (ancestry/E2-ring6-triage-2026-09-08.md s.15).
WHAT IS IN HAND: the will of [1628] Philip Maurous, signed 10 Jun 1851 and read on the manuscript (citation 7096). It names his wife Eliza, his brother Jean Pierre, his ward 'Fanny Maurous O'Bannon' ([834]) and 'the child named for me Philip Maurous the son of Alexander & Maria Saunders of Louisiana' - and NO daughter Maria, though this Maria lived to 1883. The tree's [1629] 'Lila Saunders' and the surname 'Leonard Halstead' carry zero citations. The agent dossier (ancestry/agent-report-834-obannon-mother-dossier-2026-09-04.md) states the limit: no 'record connects the Maurous/Saunders couple to Maria [1626] as parents'.
⚠ THE WILL'S SILENCE is the one thing that could later tip this to a contradiction; a married daughter absent from a will is not decisive, so it is held here rather than read against the link.
☞ UPGRADES ON: the Maurous estate settlement - McCracken Co., Ky. county court order 9 May 1853, 'E. A. Maurous Ex'x of P. Maurous dec'd', FS DGS 008114424 image 258, book p. 420 - a distribution naming a daughter, or her heirs, or neither.
