Named as father in the will of his son Francis Waring, Essex Co. Will Book 12, p. 432, read on the original register image (FS DGS 007645973 item 2): "my Land in King and Queen which was left me by my Father Colo. Thomas Waring by estamation twelve hundred acres." A court-recorded direct statement of the [1759]->[1946] link; previously compiled-only.

AUDITED 23 Sep 2026 - BIRTH REVISED TO AN ESTIMATE, AND HIS PARENTS RECORDED AS A COMPILED CLAIM ONLY (round-5 triage A5, A6, C3; Owen).
BIRTH: the tree carried 1673 with no citation. It now reads about 1690, an ESTIMATE and not a record: the births of his eleven children in this tree fall 1714-1734 (none of them cited), and the 1982 Gouldborough state historical marker and WikiTree Waring-741 both give ca. 1690 (neither is a record). No extra generation was inserted to keep 1673. The birth place is unchanged and is also uncited.
PARENTS - NOT ENTERED. Thomas Waring 'the Immigrant' (d. about 1713, Essex Co.) and Alice Underwood are the compiled tradition (Jones 1911; Motley 1960, unread). No record has been read for either. Next document: a Thomas Waring will, inventory or estate account in the Essex County, Virginia will books 1711-1717; a will naming a son Thomas would decide it.
NOT HIS SISTER: Cordelia Waring, wife of Jeremiah Upshaw (WikiTree Waring-773). The round-5 dossier reports that the Upshaw-side record gives her surname as MARTIN. Do not attach her. Dossier: agent-report-1946-col-thomas-waring-2026-09-23.md.
