Thomas Waring deceas'd as followeth (Vizt)". Closing, p. 61: "Errors Excepted — pr. Thomas Roane, John Upshaw, Jno. Rennolds, W. Roane, James Upshaw, John Latane. Exd. At a Court held for Essex County at Tappa. on the 20th Day of June 1763. This Inventory and Appraisement of the Estate of Thomas Waring Decd was this Day Returned and Ordered to be Recorded. Test John Lee Junr. Clk." IDENTIFICATION (Batch C, Owen approved): [1948] Capt. Thomas Gouldman Waring, whose probate is before 18 May 1761 — the only tree Thomas Waring matching the Capt. title and a 1761 order ([1946] Col. Thomas died probate 15 Jan 1754). The order-year digit resembles an open 4 on the page; it is bounded <= 1762 by the 20 Jun 1763 recording and fixed to 1761 by the probate. Images on disk; register K59.
