Color Songwriting Challenge

Escalating songwriting challenge idea: write a song for every Crayola color in the box. (That is, the song lyrics should include the color name. This should be good for writing 120 songs.)

Level 1: Blue, black, brown, green, orange, red, violet, yellow.

(Move up to bigger boxes)

Level 4: cadet blue, chestnut, melon, peach, sky blue, tan, timberwolf, wisteria

Level 5 of the challenge (include these words in the songs): burnt sienna, cornflower, goldenrod, granny smith apple, lavender, macaroni and cheese, mahogany, mauvelous, olive green, purple mountains’ majesty, raw sienna, salmon, sea green, sepia, spring green, tumbleweed

Level 6 (include these words in the songs): asparagus, bittersweet, brick red, burnt orange, forest green, magenta, periwinkle, orchid, pacific blue, plum, robin’s egg blue, spring green, silver, tickle me pink, turquoise blue, wild strawberry

End of challenge: You’ll have 120 new songs and you can release 12 albums. You can draw your own album cover with “screaming green” and “shocking pink”

Here’s my first entry knocking out 3 colors:

More Like September includes “yellow” “red” and “orange”
