"March 2, 1782, Fowlkes, Henry, & Tabitha Bass." That is the marriage of [1258] Henry Bass Fowlkes and [1259] Tabitha Bass. The entry gives NO county; the surrounding entries are Foster and Fowlkes families, one of which reads "Foster, Richard, of Prince Edward". NO parent is named for either party, and the entry says nothing about any child. CONTROL, ON THIS SAME PAGE - this series DOES print parentage and consent when the underlying bond carried it. The entry IMMEDIATELY ABOVE reads "Nov. 23, 1780, Fowlkes, Jas., (son of Jno.), & Sally Foster. (d. of Mary)." The page also carries "Dec. 20, 1781, Foster, Robert, & Elizabeth Jones, (sister of Daniel Jones).", "July, 1800, Foster, Joel, & Elizabeth Hill, (d. of Sarah Lockett).", "July, 1816, Foster, Worsham, & Martha Wood. (d. of William).", and two standalone consent-giver names set on their own lines ("Edmond Walker." under the Richard Foster x Judith Walker entry, "Thomas Asselin." under the Anthony Foster x Elizabeth Asselin entry). So the silence on Henry and Tabitha is the abstracter reporting a bond that named none.
