1863 In April 1863 the McCracken County court at Paducah appointed her father, Abe Boyd, "Guardian of his infant daughter Eliza Boyd". One of his sureties was E. A. Marouse, who had been her mother's own guardian.

1900 At 19, in June 1880, she was keeping a two-person household at Des Arc, Arkansas, with her husband William B. Plunkett, 20, a "D. G. & G. Merchant". By 1900, in Little Rock, she had borne four children, all four living and all at home.

1940 In April 1940, at 78, she was keeping house at 1719 Arch Street in Little Rock, a home the family owned, valued at $8,000. Her husband, 80, still worked full weeks as chairman of the board of a wholesale grocery, her widowed daughter Alice and a grandson lived with them, and the family's chauffeur, Will Brown, was listed at the same address.

1942 Her death certificate gives her usual occupation as "At Home". Taken ill on 11 April 1942, she died at St. Vincent's Infirmary in Little Rock at 11:15 the next morning, of acute coronary thrombosis.

Read on the manuscript at zoom 17 Aug 2026 (crop in sources/obannon-maurous-mccracken-2026-08-17/): 'Wednesday April 15th 1863 -- Called Court -- Present Hon G. A. Flournoy Judge -- On motion of Abe Boyd he is appointed Guardian of his infant daughter Eliza Boyd, and being duly sworn he together with H. L. Jones and E. A. Marouse entered into and acknowledged covenant to the Commonwealth of Kentucky as the law requires.' Thirteen months after the 14 Mar 1862 death of Eliza's mother Fannie (O'Bannon) Boyd: a contemporaneous court record of the father-daughter relationship. The sureties tie the record into the family web -- H. L. Jones was surety on the parents' June 1860 marriage bond (DGS 007735455 p. 285), and E. A. Marouse is Eliza A. Maurous, Fannie's own guardian.
