Read on the manuscript at zoom 17 Aug 2026 (crop in sources/obannon-maurous-mccracken-2026-08-17/): 'Wednesday April 15th 1863 -- Called Court -- Present Hon G. A. Flournoy Judge -- On motion of Abe Boyd he is appointed Guardian of his infant daughter Eliza Boyd, and being duly sworn he together with H. L. Jones and E. A. Marouse entered into and acknowledged covenant to the Commonwealth of Kentucky as the law requires.' Thirteen months after the 14 Mar 1862 death of Eliza's mother Fannie (O'Bannon) Boyd: a contemporaneous court record of the father-daughter relationship. The sureties tie the record into the family web -- H. L. Jones was surety on the parents' June 1860 marriage bond (DGS 007735455 p. 285), and E. A. Marouse is Eliza A. Maurous, Fannie's own guardian.

PROOF CLASS: BOTH PARENTS = DIRECT (reviewed 4 Sep 2026). Her 1942 Arkansas death certificate names both, and the 15 Apr 1863 McCracken county court order independently calls her 'his infant daughter'. AUDITED 17 Aug 2026 - PARENTS PROVEN, now ALSO on a CONTEMPORANEOUS record: the 15 Apr 1863 McCracken county court order - 'On motion of Abe Boyd he is appointed Guardian of his infant daughter Eliza Boyd' (Court Records 1861-1869, p. 54) - thirteen months after her mother Fannie's death, sureties H. L. Jones + E. A. Marouse (Fannie's own guardian). This adds an 1863 court record to the 1942 death-certificate evidence preserved below. --- EARLIER AUDIT (27 Jul 2026, kept verbatim) --- Audited 27 Jul 2026. BOTH PARENTS EVIDENCED. Ky.; her own birthplace PADUCAH, KENTUCKY. This gives the Boyd/O'Bannon line a Kentucky origin with a named town.
