Death certificate, Travis Co., 16 Sep 1938, file 43580, image 40394_b062153-01990 (Texas, U.S., Death Certificates, 1903-1982 (Ancestry coll. 2272)): field 13 FATHER = 'John Johnson' (b. England); field 15 MOTHER'S MAIDEN NAME = 'Martha Patterson' (b. England); his own birthplace England. Buried Boggy Cemetery. CONFLICT TO WATCH: the certificate says 60 years in the U.S. as of 1938 (arrival c.1878), against the 1872-74 crossing bracket in johnson-branch-research.md; but it also says 50 years in the city, which cannot be right when the family is in the 1880 Travis Co. census.
