Read by eye on the capture sources/woodall-ramsay-ring3-2026-08-22/item2-39-sudie-1976-cert-FATHER-col-SSN-excluded.png, taken 22 Aug 2026 in the same pass that read item 14 and NEVER OPENED until 5 Sep 2026 - the note above and README both recorded this field as unread and as an errand still owed. IDENTIFICATION: the certificate carries NO SUFFIX, so 'Isaac F. Pace' alone does not separate [198] from a same-named father; it is items 13 and 14 TOGETHER that name a married couple, and [199] Lenora Dent is [198]'s wife on the 1900 Shelby Co. enumeration (K264). That is the same identity step item 14's own DIRECT grade already makes. GRADE: informant [37] Miles Woodall, her son, reporting his grandfather's name - good, ordinary vital-record evidence, not first-person, exactly as recorded for the mother half. ⛔ NOT graded from the 1900 household: K264/K265 record this project's precedent that a relationship-stated census is household-grade and sets no flag. Her mother [199] Lenora Walker Dent carried a recorded death of 19 Nov 1878, Sabine, Texas - which would make it impossible for her to be the mother of a daughter born in 1886. The question was whether two women had been conflated, in which case this direct ancestor's mother would have been the wrong person. Item 14 of this certificate answers it: the mother IS Lenora Dent. The 1900 census of Justice Precinct 5, Shelby Co., Texas independently enumerates 'Lanora', wife, born Jan 1852 - matching [199]'s recorded birth to the month - in the household with [198] and with this daughter. ⛔ CONSEQUENCE, AND IT IS NOT WRITTEN BY THIS SCRIPT: the 19 Nov 1878 death on [199] is contradicted by four things at once - her own 1900 enumeration, four children born after it (1883, 1886, 1890, 1895), the 1874 family marriage event, and this certificate. It is almost certainly a namesake's record accepted as an Ancestry hint. It has deliberately NOT been deleted here; see the NEEDS-A-DECISION entry in ancestry/db-write-queue.md, which recommends demoting it with a note rather than striking it. [199]'s true death date is UNKNOWN. ⛔ TWO CONFLICTS RECORDED, NEITHER OVERWRITTEN. (1) The certificate gives her birth as Oct. 4, 1886; the tree carries 4 Sep 1886. (2) The certificate gives her birthplace as 'Hemphill, Texas', which is the TOWN of Hemphill in SABINE county; the tree carries 'Hemphill County, Texas', which is a different place in the Texas panhandle. Sabine is also where the spurious 1878 death sits, so the two errors share a county and probably a single bad hint. GRADE. Informant [37] was her son, born 1915; he is reporting his grandmother's maiden name. Good, ordinary vital-record evidence - not first-person.
