Record of the Peaked Mountain Church, William and Mary College Quarterly ser. 1, vol. XIV, p. 10, entries 130-132, read on the page image 13 Sep 2026 (K673). Verbatim, with the bracketing entries included because they are what fix the row alignment: PARENTS 'John Boyer [Beyer] and Eva.' (129) CHILDREN 'Mary Margaret, born June 1, 1781; bapt. July 13, 1781.' SPONSORS 'Matthias Kirsch and Anna Margaret.' -- PARENTS 'George Zimmermann, Sr., and Anna.' (130) CHILDREN 'Salome, born Aug. 22, 1771; bapt. July 13, 1783.' SPONSORS [blank]. -- ditto ditto (131) CHILDREN 'William, born May 28, 1775; bapt. July 13, 1783.' -- ditto ditto (132) CHILDREN 'Henry, born May 12, 1778; bapt. July 13, 1783.' -- PARENTS 'John Risch and Anna Maria.' (133) CHILDREN 'Sarah, born March 10; bapt. June 16, 1783.' SPONSORS 'Peter Nicolas, Jr.' ★ THE ROW ALIGNMENT IS CONTROLLED, NOT ASSUMED: entries 131 and 132 carry DITTO MARKS in the parents column, so all three children belong to entry 130's parents. The control is Henry - this tree already carried his birth as 12 May 1778 from elsewhere, and entry 132 reads 'Henry, born May 12, 1778', which is true only at this alignment; one row out and Salome attaches to John Boyer, whose wife is Eva, not Anna. ⛔ The register names NO Adam and NO Margaret in this family, and it records 4 of the 12 children F745 and F908 hold, so its silence about a child is not evidence either way. ⛔ This is Hinke and Kemper's printed TRANSLATION OF A COPY - the editors state at vol. XIII p. 248 that all baptismal entries were copied at a later time into a second record-book, and that Christian names were Englished while surnames were kept - so it is cited as their printing, never as the church book itself.
