By 1860 he is a FARMER with $2,000 real estate and $1,200 personal. This is the only one of the four couples still in Kentucky at this date. ⚠️ [1123] Achiles b. 1845 would be 5 and is ABSENT — and absent again in 1860. **The zero is controlled**: a search on his name in the 1860 collection returned the exact household under 'Lucy A Quisenberry, Rocky Fork, Boone, Missouri', so the instrument reaches this family. He genuinely is not in either household. ⚠️ POINTER, NOT OPENED: he is also listed in the 1850 U.S. Federal Census SLAVE SCHEDULES.

PROOF CLASS: FATHER = ARGUMENT (Owen graded 4 Sep 2026) - her own 7 Oct 1844 Clark Co., Ky. marriage bond names her 'daughter Ambrose Bush (consent)'; WHICH Ambrose is argued, not stated. MOTHER = INFORMANT (insufficient), reviewed 4 Sep 2026, flag stays 0 - a consent bond names the consenting parent only; reopens on resolving F411.
THE ARGUMENT (full text: ancestry/proof-summary-997-bush-father-2026-09-04.md; record: register K441). (1) THE RECORD STATES THE RELATIONSHIP. George F. Doyle, Marriage bonds of Clark County, Kentucky 1793-1850 (1933), FS catalog 433805, DGS 7896907, read on the images in both index appearances: 'Quisenberry, Stephen C., and Cloe J. Bush, daughter Ambrose Bush (consent); surety, Colby Bush' (p. 298, ark 3:1:3Q9M-CS4X-R95H-S) and 'Bush, Cloe J., daughter Ambrose Bush (consent), and Stephen C. Quisenberry; surety, Colby Bush' (ark 3:1:3Q9M-CS4X-R9RX-J), both dated 1844 Oct 7. She was 19 - which is precisely why a consent was required, an internal consistency the record did not have to supply. (2) THE SAME FILM ATTESTS AN AMBROSE BUSH x JANE QUISENBERRY MARRIAGE, 29 Jun 1798 - a man who could father a daughter in 1825 and consent for her in 1844. (3) THE COMPETING AMBROSE IS EXCLUDED ON CHRONOLOGY: 'Bush, Ambrose, and Dulcena Flynn, daughter Sarah Flynn (consent)' is 1848 Jul 10, FOUR YEARS AFTER our bond, and a man at his own marriage in 1848 is not plausibly the father of a woman born in 1825; the distinct 'Ambrose G. Bush' (1843, 1849) is likewise the wrong generation.
WHY THIS IS ARGUMENT AND NOT DIRECT, and it was revised DOWN from DIRECT the same day (K444). 'Ambrose Bush' is NOT unique in Clark County, so the grade turns on WHICH one, and the first draft identified him through the surety Colby Bush being Chloe's brother. THAT IS UNSOURCED TREE DATA: [1090] Colby Quisenberry Bush carries ZERO citations, and 15 of F412's 16 children are uncited. A witness named on a document is evidence of his NAME, not his RELATIONSHIP. The surety strand and Colby's middle name are therefore EXCLUDED from the argument above rather than counted in it; what remains is record-only. DO NOT reintroduce them.
A CIRCULARITY CHECKED AND CLEARED. If F412 itself descends from a Doyle derivative, then 'the bond confirms the tree' would prove nothing. It clears because the bond IS the source - Doyle states Chloe's paternity in her own marriage entry, so reading it converts an uncited tree claim into a cited one. The circularity would have bitten only the corroborations, which is why the tree's own F412 marriage date (E8449, 29 Jun 1798) is recorded here as CONSISTENCY with the 1798 bond and is NOT used as independent confirmation.
THE MOTHER HALF IS NOT GRADED, AND MUST NOT BE TIDIED TO 1. A consent bond names the consenting parent ONLY. Nothing read states or forecloses who Chloe's mother was. And there is an unresolved conflict on the father's own marriages: [1086] is recorded as husband in F411 with [2940] Nancy Douglass, married 27 Jul 1807 with no children, while F412's [1087] Jane Quisenberry lived to 1859 and bore children continuously 1800-1829. BOTH CANNOT BE TRUE - F411 is most likely a different Ambrose Bush absorbed into this person. F411 needs its own pass; it was NOT touched. ProofMother reopens when F411 is resolved.
UNCHANGED FROM THE 31 JUL 2026 AUDIT - her first audit and her first citation. 'Cloah Quisenberry, 24' in 1850 (Clark Co., Kentucky) and 'Cloe J Quisenberry, 35' in 1860 (Boone Co., Missouri) - b. c.1825, matching her recorded 1825 exactly. Four of her children matched across the two households, all already in this tree, including 'Polly F' = [998] Mary 'Mollie' (Polly is the standard diminutive of Mary) and 'Eva M' = [1128] Evie (Eva) Mary. THE GENERATION'S HEADLINE, from the seven households read together: NOT ONE OF THESE FAMILIES WAS STILL A KENTUCKY FAMILY BY 1860, and the children's birthplace column dates each departure. CARPENTER x POWELL were in SMITH CO., TENNESSEE by 1850 (left KY c. 1845-49). CAVINS x MANSFIELD were in RANDOLPH CO., MISSOURI by 1850 (left KY by 1844). QUISENBERRY x BUSH were still in Clark Co., KY in 1850 but in BOONE CO., MISSOURI by 1860 (left c. 1854-59). Only ADAM CARPENTER x MARY ANN JONES stayed, in Casey Co., Kentucky. AND TWO OF THE FOUR COUPLES BECAME IN-LAWS IN MISSOURI: Boone and Randolph Counties adjoin, Lucy Ann Quisenberry appears in later censuses as 'Lucy A. Cavins', and Stephen Quisenberry's own record panel carries an obituary-index entry captioned 'Cavins'. Not entered as a link - recorded as a finding.
