AUDITED 22 Aug 2026 - SHE IS ENUMERATED AS 'WIFE', NOT WIDOW, in the 1920 census of Winnsboro, Franklin Co., Texas (ED 59, sheet 21B, line 79), age 39, married, with [127] as HEAD. ⛔ That does NOT establish he was alive when the enumerator called: the sheet was written on 10 January 1920 but the form enumerates every person living on JANUARY 1, so the entry is correct either way. It places the household intact on 1 Jan 1920. ★ A NARROWING FACT FOR HER MOTHER, WHO SITS IN THIS TREE AS A BARE FORENAME. The sheet gives HER FATHER born TENNESSEE and HER MOTHER born TENNESSEE. Her parents here are [753] Keneth M Barrett and [3424] 'Elizabeth', surname unknown. A Tennessee birth is the first constraint this project has on Elizabeth - use it when hunting her surname. Read on the page image 22 Aug 2026; register K274; captures in sources/coe-127-1920-census-2026-08-22/. Her own 1967 death certificate remains unreachable - Ancestry's Franklin Co. 1967 images run 8 Jul to 23 Aug then resume 4 Oct, and she died 12 Sep. That paragraph called the Ancestry absence 'a digitisation hole, not a search failure' and put her death at 12 Sep. Both are now confirmed from the other side (register K275/K281): · The hole was MEASURED — Ancestry's Franklin Co. 1967 registrar's file nos run 28-39 (all stamped REC'D SEP 7 1967) then resume at 45 (REC'D NOV 6 1967). Nos 40-44 and the whole REC'D OCT 1967 batch are in neither range. The missing sheet was predicted as file 40-44, received October. · The certificate, recovered from FamilySearch coll. 1983324 — A DIFFERENT FILMING of the same Texas state series — is REGISTRAR'S FILE NO. 42, stamped REC'D OCT 9 1967. Both predictions hit. ☞ THE REUSABLE PART: when an image lane returns nothing for a record you have independent reason to believe exists, read the SEQUENCE NUMBERS for a jump. The fix for a filming gap is a DIFFERENT FILMING, not a different name. ☞ A second reason the hunt had failed: the county index files her under her MARRIED surname, 'Coe, Willie Myrtle', not Barrett. It is NOT 'the same grade as the four links proven that morning': each of those had a stated or known informant (his own SS-5; his wife; her son; his wife). FIELD 17 HERE READS 'Mrs. Landon Ramsay' AND NOTHING ELSE — the certificate states NO relationship. ★ What carries this link is CONVERGENCE, not the informant: this certificate, the 1871 McNairy Co. Tennessee marriage of a Kenneth Barrett to an Elizabeth Long, and the 1880 and 1900 Franklin Co. households all agree independently. ⛔⛔ AND THE TRAP THIS MUST NOT BECOME: 'Mrs. Landon Ramsay' is [125] Mozelle Coe only via F81's 1934 marriage, and that she is this decedent's DAUGHTER is the tree's own UNDECIDED ring-2 claim. THIS CERTIFICATE MUST NEVER BE USED TO DECIDE [125] <- [127] x [128] — that would prove the link with a grade that assumes it. Ring 2 is untouched by this write. ⚠️ 'Kenneth McBarrett' at field 13 is recorded AS WRITTEN; every other record reads 'Kenneth (M.) Barrett'. The economical reading is a 1967 typist running 'M.' into the surname. Not silently normalised.
