SWORN PETITION READ VERBATIM (register K330). Franklin County, Texas, County Court, October Term A.D. 1923, case 731, estate of J. T. Coe deceased. Photocopies of the probate minutes supplied by the Franklin County Chief Deputy Clerk and read 25 Aug 2026. KEY PASSAGE, VERBATIM: 'To the Honorable County Court of said Franklin County: Now comes your petitioner, WILLIE COE who resides in Franklin County, Texas, the surviving wife of J.T. COE, deceased, and respectfully shows to the court that her said husband died on the 10th day of January, 1920, at his home in said Franklin County, Texas. 2. That the said J.T. Coe left surviving him the following children, to-wit: MELVA COE, a girl 12 years old, MOZELLE COE, a girl 10 years old, and MAYBEL COE, a girl 8 years old, EVELINE COE, a girl 7 years old, and TOMMY COE, a boy 3 years old, all of whom reside with your applicant in said Franklin County, Texas. 3. That there is community estate the said J.T. Coe, deceased, and your applicant. 4. That said deceased died intestate and was at the time of his death a resident of the said Franklin County, State of Texas...' -- Suiter & Wilkinson, Attorney for applicant. GRADE: ORIGINAL COURT RECORD, SWORN, three years after the death, by the decedent's own widow, naming five children with exact ages. The four names reconcile to this tree without strain -- Melva/Melba, Maybel/Mabel, Eveline/Evelyn -- and the ages back-calculate to about 1911, 1913, 1915, 1916 and 1920, matching the four recorded birth dates to the year. WHAT IT PROVES: FATHERHOOD. 'The said J.T. Coe left surviving him the following children' is a direct filiation statement and is the basis for ProofFather=1 on all five. WHAT IT DOES NOT PROVE, AND THE FLAGS REFLECT THIS: MOTHERHOOD. The petition makes the children J.T. COE'S and says only that they 'reside with your applicant'. RESIDENCE IS NOT MATERNITY. No interval argument is available either: F82's marriage event E8167 is 'abt 1911' and carries ZERO CITATIONS -- it is an estimate in this database, not a date any record states, and treating it as evidence would repeat a mistake this project has already made and retracted. ProofMother stays 0 on every row until a record names the mother. CHEAPEST ROUTE TO ProofMother: a Texas death certificate for any of the daughters names both parents -- the same instrument that settled [381] Viola. None of the four currently carries one; their citations are census, SSDI and public-records index only. SCOPE: this document concerns [127]'s CHILDREN. It says nothing about HIS OWN parents. F83 is untouched and stays 0/0.
