1941 Among the parties planned before her cousin John Barnitz Bond married Esther Anne Pearson in Little Rock on 12 April 1941 was "a luncheon by Mrs. Latane Temple of Texarkana on April 11", the day of the rehearsal dinner given by his parents.

1941 In May 1941 she was one of five women pilots in the Arkansas air tour. A rain and windstorm caught the 48 planes at Russellville and scattered them on the way to the new airport at Fort Smith, but the Times Record reported that the five women brought their airplanes in "on the button".

1956 Fifteen years after the air tour she was still arriving by air. In January 1956, when she and her husband lived at Diboll, Texas, a San Antonio society column reported that they would "fly in Friday and out again Saturday" as overnight house guests of Mr. and Mrs. Cosmo Guido.

1964 In January 1964 she was one of three hostesses for a luncheon meeting of the Houston Lumberwomen, held in the Regency Room of the Houston Club.

1966 A Houston Chronicle society-page photograph of June 1966 was captioned "Took the younger set to Jamaica Beach", over the names of Mr. and Mrs. Latane Temple. In 1979, six years after their divorce, he deeded her lot 10, block A, Jamaica Beach No. 16, on Galveston Island.

PROOF CLASS: FATHER = DIRECT (4 Sep 2026) - the 1920 census states her DAUGHTER of the head. MOTHER = DIRECT (6 Sep 2026) - the 1930 census states her DAUGHTER of the head, and the head is her WIDOWED MOTHER Alice P. Bond. Image read.
Audited 27 Jul 2026 - post-1850 spine, Phase 3 (ancestry/post-1850-plan.md). Parents were already attached here; this note records the record that EVIDENCES them, and ProofFather/ProofMother have been set to Proven.

NOTE THE HOUSEHOLD STRADDLES TWO SHEETS - the head is the LAST line of p.32A and everyone else is at the top of p.32B, which is why the attached citation and the record page number disagree. Both sheets were read.

Josephine at age 1 matches [46] b. 21 Dec 1918 (1 year 1 month at the 2 Jan 1920 enumeration). Head at 51 matches [185] b. 1868; wife at 26 matches [184] b. 1893. The under-5 ages are written as year-and-twelfths, the 1920 convention, which is a good sign this enumerator was working carefully.
INCIDENTAL: the head's father is recorded born PENNSYLVANIA - consistent with the Barnitz name, which is Pennsylvania German. Independent support for the Bond line.

[185] John Barnitz Bond died 24 Mar 1922, so his WIDOW heads the household - which is why this census states the relation to the MOTHER and the 1920 one could not. * THE INDEX WOULD HAVE MISLED A SESSION THAT DID NOT OPEN THE IMAGE: Ancestry's Household Members panel lists the two servants FIRST, above Alice, so read off the panel the head looks like a maid. The image shows the family number on Alice's line. Same family as the off-by-one warning in [184]'s own note.
